About
DD+B partnered with LOC Architects and Sapphire Engineering to perform a complete renovation of the Now Apart (NAP) building in Santa Monica, California, transforming it into an administrative space with private offices and large equipment storage for student field trips. DD+B installed a large overhead coiling door in one of the suites, with floor-to-ceiling custom steel racks to store heavy equipment. Additionally, new copper water lines were installed for equipment cleaning in the first suite. In the second suite, the team completed new metal stud framing and a complete build-out that resulted in state-of-the-art offices for the school’s administration. The renovation also included a new kitchen, upgrades to the school’s robust fire alarm and clock bell systems, new LED lighting, sealed concrete floors and a brand-new bathroom.
